Willow hakuru nishiki

A large bush or standard tree. The bush form reaches a height of 1.5 – 2 m, and grows up to 3 m in width. Covered with brown-red bark, the branches of the plant are long, thin and hang down at the ends. The leaves are lanceolate, the young ones have a whitish-pink color, and eventually turn green. They bloom in May, and shortly before that the bush is covered with purple catkins with a barely noticeable floral aroma. The bush grows quite quickly, per year the growth can be up to half a meter in height.
